Avocado-Themed Amusement Park Opens to Huge Crowds, Sparking "Guac-amania"
San Diego, CA – 2025-03-29 – Avocadoland, the world's first and only theme park dedicated entirely to the avocado, officially opened its doors today, drawing unprecedented crowds and sparking a phenomenon quickly dubbed "Guac-amania." From avocado-flavored ice cream to a thrilling "Guac-cano" water ride, the park promises an immersive experience for avocado aficionados and the merely avocado-curious alike.

"We expected a good turnout," said Beatrice "Bea" Green, the park's founder and CEO, "but this… this is beyond anything we could have imagined! We sold 47,823 tickets online in advance, and the lines at the gate are still stretching for blocks."
The park boasts six distinct themed areas, each showcasing a different facet of the avocado experience. "Guac-topia" features various avocado-based dips and snacks, including an award-winning avocado-infused beer. "Avo-Adventure" offers thrilling rides, including the aforementioned "Guac-cano," a log flume that culminates in a dramatic plunge into a pool of (dyed) guacamole. "The Hass Mahal" is a recreation of a Mughal palace, but made entirely of avocado-themed mosaics and featuring a restaurant serving high-end avocado-based cuisine. "Fuerte Frontier" offers a wild-west themed adventure complete with an "Avocado Bandit" show. The "Bacon Avocado Fusion" offers all things bacon and avocado. And finally, "The Avocado Orchard" is a relaxing walk through a simulated avocado grove where guests can learn about the different varieties of the fruit.

The park's culinary offerings are particularly impressive, with chefs experimenting with avocado in unexpected ways. "We're pushing the boundaries of what's possible with this fruit," explained Executive Chef Antonio Alvarez. "We have avocado-infused pasta, avocado ice cream, avocado smoothies, even avocado-flavored coffee! Our most popular item so far? The 'Avo-Burger,' a grass-fed beef patty topped with fried avocado, bacon jam, and a spicy sriracha mayo."
However, the overwhelming demand has also created some challenges. Wait times for popular rides are averaging 93.7 minutes, and several food stalls have temporarily run out of supplies. The park is issuing complimentary "Hangry Relief" kits, containing avocado snacks and bottled water, to those waiting in long lines.
"It's a bit overwhelming," confessed park visitor Maria Rodriguez, who traveled from Seattle with her family. "But the kids are having a blast! They've already been on the 'Guac-cano' twice, and they're begging me to buy them an avocado-shaped plushie."

The economic impact of Avocadoland is already being felt throughout the San Diego region. Local avocado farmers are reporting a 35.8% increase in demand, and hotels are booked solid for weeks to come. The city council is even considering renaming a nearby street "Guacamole Way."
Despite the logistical challenges, Bea Green remains optimistic. "This is just the beginning," she said. "We have plans for expansion, including a 'Hass-ter Egg Hunt' next Easter and a 'Guac-toberfest' celebration in the fall. Avocadoland is here to stay, and we're committed to providing a unique and unforgettable experience for all our visitors."
Whether "Guac-amania" is a fleeting trend or a lasting cultural phenomenon remains to be seen, but one thing is certain: Avocadoland has firmly planted its roots as a major player in the theme park industry. Park officials are reminding visitors to pre-purchase tickets online and to expect longer than usual wait times, particularly during peak hours. They are also encouraging the use of public transportation to alleviate traffic congestion in the area.
